Design Direction

Ultra-light weight (200) Inter with generous 32px letter-spacing creates breathing room and quiet confidence. This is the Aesop / COS approach — the typography is the brand. No icon needed. The extreme spacing gives each letter presence and makes the four-letter name feel expansive and premium.

Application Notes

Reads clean at every size. The thin weight catches light beautifully when foil-stamped or embossed. Risk: at very small sizes the thin weight may lose legibility. Mitigate by bumping to weight 300 for sub-12px applications.

Design Direction

A geometric N constructed from clean vertical strokes and a sharp diagonal, paired with a single dot in the upper-right corner — a subtle nod to acupressure points. The mark works standalone (metal stickers, favicons, app icons) or alongside the wordmark. The dot is the brand's secret handshake: those who know, know.

Application Notes

The standalone N+dot is the strongest small-format mark in this set. Ideal for 3D metal stickers and embossing. The sharp geometry feels clinical and precise — more surgical instrument than spa candle. The dot placement creates visual tension and asymmetry that reads as intentional and modern.

Design Direction

A precision crosshair with a filled center point — reads as "targeting a point" rather than "medical cross." The crosshair extends past the circle, creating visual energy. The center dot directly references acupressure points without being literal. Paired with spaced Inter for the wordmark. Think: tactical optics meets clinical precision.

Application Notes

The icon separates cleanly from the wordmark for flexible layouts. At very small sizes, the crosshair lines may need thickening (shown in "Tiny" preview). The circular form works well for social media avatars and round stickers. The symbol-forward approach gives more visual vocabulary for the brand system.

Design Direction

Bebas Neue — tall, condensed, unapologetic. This is the YETI / Ridge Wallet / tactical gear approach. The condensed letterforms take up vertical real estate and feel like they're stamped into metal. Moderate letter-spacing keeps it readable without losing the compressed energy. This logo announces itself. It doesn't whisper.

Application Notes

The tall proportions and strong weight make this the most legible concept at small sizes. Embosses and debosses extremely well on hard surfaces. Risk: could read more "fitness brand" than "precision tool" if not paired with the right packaging design. Works best when the surrounding design is restrained and minimal.

Recommendation

Lead with Concept 02 — Monogram/Mark

The N+dot monogram gives NERO something none of the competitors have: a standalone mark that works at every scale, from a 3D metal sticker on a matte black box to a Shopify favicon. The single pressure-point dot is a subtle, ownable brand element that tells the product story without explaining it. It is the only concept here that gives you a full brand system — icon, icon+wordmark, and wordmark-only — from day one.

For the wordmark portion, borrow the restraint from Concept 01 (light weight, generous spacing). The N mark does the heavy lifting for recognition; the wordmark just needs to be clean.

Packaging

The standalone N+dot embosses on metal stickers and stamps on matte black boxes at any size. No other concept gives you a true mark for small-format packaging.

Digital

Square-format mark works as a favicon, app icon, social avatar without modification. Full lockup (mark + wordmark) for headers and ads.

Brand System

Three tiers of usage: mark-only, mark+wordmark, wordmark-only. This flexibility is critical as the brand scales across SKUs and channels.
